Orbis funds added to bespoke SimplyBiz research fund list

Two of Orbis Investments’ funds are now included on the bespoke SimplyBiz Multi-Asset Research Fund List.

The Orbis OEIC Global Balanced Fund and Orbis OEIC Global Equity Fund have each earned a place on the 191-strong list, having met a set of rigorous quantitative and qualitative assessment criteria.

Using a transparent, robust and clear methodology designed by SimplyBiz Investment Services’ (SIS) independent investment committee, the Multi-Asset Research Fund List is powered by Defaqto.

Each fund is analysed against a set of strict criteria such as performance, volatility, fee level, assets under management, and the availability of a Defaqto Fund or ESG rating. The successful funds are then placed onto the list according to a risk profile ranging from two to ten (two being the lowest risk level).

Orbis Global Balanced is listed as risk profile six, and Orbis Global Equity listed as risk profile nine.

Marcel Bradshaw, head of UK retail at Orbis, says: “We are proud that both the Orbis OEIC Global Balanced Fund and Orbis OEIC Global Equity Fund have met the stringent standards needed to join the bespoke SIS Multi-Asset Research Fund List. The assessment criteria are thorough and offer a transparent assessment of how an investment solution works and its risk level.”

“At Orbis we pride ourselves on being different, a quality which is evident in our long-term outlook and innovative refundable fee structure, a feature unique to the Orbis fund family, which means our interests are truly aligned with those of our clients.”
